The Model KAW5100P is a wideband RF pulse amplifier system. The KAW5100P amplifier is a class AB linear pulse amplifier and provides 1000 Watts pulsed output power into a 50-Ohm load over the frequency range of 200 MHz to 500 MHz with a minimum power gain of 60 dB. GPIB control is possible with the optional IEEE488.2/RS232 Interface Controller Module.
The system features forward and reflected power indication on a front panel-mounted, analog meter; Automatic Level Control (ALC); RF gain control; overdrive protection; full VSWR protection; input blanking, and over-temperature protection. These features, plus remote power on/off control, are also accessible for remote operation through a 25-pin, D-subminiature connector. The system comprises a Power Controller/Power Amplifier and a Power Supply unit. These are intended to be mounted into a standard, 19-inch equipment rack and require 21 inches of panel space. The units are designed to be installed on optional telescoping slides. The Model KAW5100P is self-contained and operates from single-phase 187-265 VAC, or 3-phase 323-458 VAC, 47-63 Hz line. Power consumption is typically 600 VA. The system may be placed in 'stand-by' mode with the BLANKING switch
